dakar 2011

christmas in 11 days but more importantly dakar 2011 is almost upon us!

and as far as i can tell, there are only 186 bikes this year and only one brit, jenifer morgan, go jen go!!

it's getting exciting now. this year is going to be amazing. so many events lined up culminating in the dakar 2012.

patsy drove four bikes and the truck to le harve at the end of november to set them on their way to buenos aires for the 2011 dakar. pats is then flying out on 28th in time for the start. vince is the driver (that'll be awesome!!) leaving pats and tony as spanners (that's not meant to sound so rude!).

planning and training continues, in the gym mainly, now using both arms again which is great as i am beginning to look like 'hellboy'! hopefully pick up my bike this weekend so that i can do some training in the wolds over christmas.

went down to sussex with jago last week to catch up with patsy and to plan training for 2011. we were only there for a few hours but we managed to fill the diary with events that will take us to spain, morocco, tunisia, romania and turkey! debating on the pros and cons of the wr450 and exc450 bikes and sharing stories.....to be concluded.
